How ProjPilot Works
ProjPilot connects small creators with the ideas, testers and audience they need. Here is the loop, for both sides.
For creators
- 1
Find or bring an idea
Start from the ideas library, where every editorial idea comes with real search demand, competitors and an MVP scope, or bring your own. Posting an idea is a good way to see who would use it before you build.
- 2
Submit your project
Apps and games are welcome at any stage: prototype, beta, demo, Early Access or launched. Paste your link and we pre-fill the page from it, then add screenshots, platforms and what you want feedback on.
- 3
A person reviews it
Every submission is read by an editor against the submission guidelines. Free submissions are usually reviewed within 14 days; Fast Track within 24 hours. If something needs fixing we tell you exactly what.
- 4
Run a pilot
Open your pilot to recruit testers. Signed-in visitors join with one click and get your test link: TestFlight, Google Play testing, a Steam playtest, itch.io or the web. You see who joined, and their email if they chose to share it.
- 5
Grow
Collect comments and likes, gain followers, add the badge to your site, and move up the gallery as players and users engage. When you want to move faster, Featured and Pilot of the Week put your screenshots in front of everyone.
For players, testers and early adopters
- 1
Browse the gallery
Find games with a playable demo, apps in public beta and brand-new prototypes. Filters show what stage every project is at.
- 2
Join a pilot
Create a free account with just your email, press “Join the pilot”, and get the test link straight away. Choose whether the creator can see your email.
- 3
Tell them what you think
Leave a comment on the project page. Specific feedback from a real person is the most valuable thing a small creator can get.
What we never do
- Sell approval. Paid submissions go through the same review, and a rejected one is refunded automatically.
- Hide advertising. Every paid placement carries a visible “Promoted” label.
- Share a tester’s email without their say-so. It is opt-in, per pilot.
