Submission Guidelines
ProjPilot is for small creators, and for projects at every stage. These are the rules an editor checks every submission against, paid or free.
What we welcome
- Apps and games by independent creators and small teams (solo developers, indie studios, micro-teams inside startups and small companies).
- Any stage: prototype, beta, demo, Early Access or launched, as long as the label is honest.
- Something real to try or watch: a playable build, a public beta, a demo, a store page with a trailer, or a working web app.
- Links anywhere sensible: your own site, Steam, itch.io, the App Store, Google Play, TestFlight or GitHub.
What a good page needs
- A clear name and a one-line tagline (10–80 characters) that says what it is.
- At least one real screenshot. Landscape for web and PC, portrait for mobile. Three or more is better.
- A description in your own words: what it is, who it is for, what is interesting about it.
- If you run a pilot: what feedback you want, and the link testers should get.
How review works
An editor reads every submission. Free submissions are usually reviewed within 14 days, Fast Track within 24 hours. If something needs to change, we say exactly what; if we decline, we give one of the reason codes below. Paying never changes the outcome, and a declined paid submission is refunded automatically.
Reason codes
nothing_to_try- There is nothing to try or watch yet: no build, demo, video or working page.
stage_mislabelled- The stage label does not match the project (for example “launched” for a waitlist).
duplicate- The project is already listed. Claim the existing page instead.
not_small_creator- The project comes from a large company or publisher rather than an independent creator or small team.
thin_content- The description or screenshots do not explain what the project is.
broken_link- The main link does not load, or leads somewhere unrelated.
not_a_project- Directories, link lists, template resale, courses and ebooks are out of scope.
unsafe_or_illegal- Adult content, gambling, malware, scams, or anything illegal.
ip_violation- The project uses characters, assets or a name it does not have the rights to.
manipulation- Fake testers, bought likes, or asking people to game the site.
Community rules
Comments are for feedback and conversation. Be specific and kind, never abusive. Do not post spam, do not ask for or trade likes, and do not create extra accounts. Reported comments are hidden until a moderator looks at them.
