Formatting toolbar and preview for LinkedIn posts

The problem

LinkedIn's post editor has no bold or italic, so people paste text from web formatters that swap letters for Unicode lookalikes. Those characters can be misread or skipped by screen readers, and writers can't see where the 'see more' cut falls before posting.
