Art of Flora

Art of Flora is a relaxing puzzle game for iPhone and iPad built around historic botanical illustrations from the 15th to the 19th century, including work by artists such as Mary Vaux Walcott and Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Each plant can be solved in two ways: reassemble the sliced-up illustration, or rebuild a short text about the plant by putting its scrambled lines back in order. The collection spans 110 puzzles grouped into regions such as Sicily, the Limestone Alps and Yasuní National Park, with a map showing where each plant grows. It is the official successor to Art of Fauna, which Apple named a Cultural Impact winner in its 2025 App Store Awards, and like that game it is made by Austrian solo developer Klemens Strasser. Accessibility is a stated focus, with simplified texts, dyslexia-friendly fonts, customisable colour schemes, VoiceOver and Switch Control support, and a kids mode. The first ten puzzles are free, with the rest sold as a bundle or in themed packs, and the developer says part of every purchase supports nature preservation organisations. It suits anyone who wants a calm, slightly educational game for short breaks.
