Spilled!

Spilled! is a cozy cleanup game in which you pilot a small boat through polluted waterways, collecting oil slicks until the water turns clear again. Along the banks, a recycling plant and upgrade docks let you improve the boat as you go, and each cleaned stretch of river opens the way to the next. You also rescue pixel-art animals caught in the pollution and add them to a collection, from ducks and turtles to a crocodile. The whole game is drawn in detailed isometric pixel art and moves at a calm, low-pressure pace. It is the work of solo developer Lente Cuenen, who, as Apple's Design Award write-up notes, lives on a houseboat and cares about ecological causes. Spilled! released on Steam for Windows and Mac in March 2025, and mobile versions for iPhone, iPad and Android are published by Sound Games, with the iOS version arriving in December 2025. It suits players who want a gentle game to unwind with and anyone drawn to its environmental theme.
